Milford is a small, historic New England town located on the banks of the Souhegan River in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.  It is about ten miles from Nashua.

Milford was once home to many granite quarries.  The town produced the granite that was used in buildings in New York city and the U.S. Treasury building in Washington D.C.  

Milford is home to the Milford State Fish Hatchery, the Burns Farm and the Hitchiner Town Forest.  It is home to Hitchiner Manufacturing Company, Inc. and Hendrix Wire and Cable.   It is also home to many antique shops and country craft stores. 

According to the 2000 U.S. Census Bureau, Milford’s population at the time was 13,575 people.  This included 5,201 households and 3,547 families.  The average family size was 3.11 and the average household size was 2.58.  Milford, New Hampshire is comprised of 25.2 square miles of land and 0.1 square miles of water.
